About the Film

Our vinyl wrap film is a 60-inch-wide, 3.5 mil cast polymeric vinyl engineered specifically for automotive applications. Unlike calendared vinyl, cast film is manufactured by casting the material into a thin, uniform sheet rather than stretching it into shape. This manufacturing process allows the film to conform more naturally to complex body lines, including mirrors, bumpers, recessed panels, contours, and other demanding surfaces.

The result is a film designed to maintain its shape and appearance over time, minimizing the tendency to shrink away from edges or lose conformity when properly installed.

Advanced Adhesive Technology

The film features an air-release, repositionable adhesive system designed to make installation more controlled and forgiving.

During installation, the film can be lifted and repositioned before final adhesion is established. Air-release channels within the adhesive help evacuate trapped air, reducing the risk of bubbles and improving the overall finish.

When properly installed and removed using appropriate heat and technique, the film is designed to remove cleanly without leaving adhesive residue or damaging properly prepared factory paint.

Durability & Performance

The film is rated for up to 7 years of outdoor durability under normal conditions and proper care.

The durability rating refers to the film’s expected resistance to cracking, peeling, and significant fading under outdoor exposure. It does not represent protection against physical damage such as scratches, rock chips, abrasions, or damage caused by automatic car washes.

Installation & Surface Preparation

The quality of the final installation depends heavily on the condition and preparation of the vehicle’s surface.

Vinyl is not a body repair product. Because the film conforms closely to the surface beneath it, dents, deep scratches, heavy swirl marks, texture, and other imperfections may remain visible through the finished wrap.

For the best results, the vehicle should have properly prepared paint that is clean, dry, smooth, and thoroughly decontaminated before installation.

Any area where the film has been significantly stretched should be properly post-heated. Post-heat stretched areas and edges to approximately 200°F to help stabilize the film and adhesive. Failure to properly post-heat is one of the most common causes of premature lifting or edge failure.

After Installation

Allow the wrap to properly settle before exposing it to moisture or washing.

• Wait at least 48 hours before the first wash.
• Hand washing is recommended to preserve the finish and maximize the film’s appearance and longevity.
• Avoid automatic car washes, aggressive pressure washing, abrasive cleaners, and harsh chemicals.
• Follow proper care procedures specific to the film’s finish.
