About the film -

Eight mil of aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane. TPU is what separates genuine paint protection from vinyl sold as protection — it stretches without memory, absorbs impact instead of transferring it to the panel beneath, and stays optically stable under UV rather than yellowing and hazing the way older PVC films did.

The construction is three layers. A self-healing elastomeric cap sheet on top, where scratches, swirls, and wash marring re-flow closed with heat from the sun or warm water — no polishing, no compound, no correction. Beneath it, the TPU body that takes rock strikes, road debris, bug acid, and salt. Underneath that, an acrylic adhesive engineered to hold for a decade and then release clean, without lifting factory paint.

Wet or dry applied. Slip solution when you want repositioning time on complex curves, dry when you want immediate tack on flat panels. The film handles either, so you install the way your shop works rather than the way the film dictates.

Good to know
PPF protects, it doesn't repair. Existing chips and swirls in your paint stay visible through clear film — correct the paint first if you want a flawless result. Give it 48 hours to cure before the first wash, then hand wash only.
